Just had 4 tyres installed quickly and for good value. All done by very lovely blokes who were very helpful. Thank you.
Highly recommended this garage, they are all really helpfully and friendly, and the service is the best I have ever experienced in a car garage. Will never use any other garage now 🙂 Thanks again guys.
Check your owner’s manual or service book for manufacturer recommended service intervals. The type of service / maintenance required also depends on the vehicle mileage covered or the time elapsed since the last service interval.
If you are not sure, we have systems linked to vehicle manufacturer data that can help you identify what type of service may be due. We can service and maintain your vehicle using manufacturer recommended oil (to ensure the correct running and to prolong the life of your engine) as well as using quality parts from recognised manufacturers.
MOTs enure your vehicle meets at least the minimum legal requirements needed to use your car on the road. Ultimately the driver is responsible to ensure the car is continuously roadworthy.
Cars less than 3 years old or vehicles over 40 years old do not need an immediate MOT.
Motorists can be fined up to £1,000 without a valid MOT certificate which may lead to legal action and penalty points. MOTs are needed for road tax purposes and to ensure your insurance remains valid.
Further, you may be putting yourself and other road users at risk if your car has no MOT or other defects.
If you are not sure about your MOT status, call us today to check if your MOT is due or to book in.
We can also add you to our reminder system where we can give you a soft reminder that your car may be due an MOT test about 3-4 weeks before its expiry.
Your tyres are ESSENTIAL components of your vehicle as they are the only parts in contact with the road surface, so ensuring your tyres at least meet the legal requirement can help you avoid fines, penalty points, problems on the road and even dangerous situations that may result in accidents, injury and even fatalities
For cars the minimum tyre tread depth must be AT LEAST 1.6mm from the base of the tread in the central 3/4 of the tread throughout a continuous band and around the entire circumference of the tyre.
Tyre Wear Indicators (TWIs) are located on many tyres in between the main tread so when the main tread wears down and becomes level with the TWI then the tyre may be close to the legal limit. You can also purchase a tyre gauge and measure the tread. If you are not sure, call or pop in and we can check your tyres.
Yes, we do! We perform warranty work authorised by the AA ( Breakdown Repair Cover), RAC, Momentum Warranties, Black Star Warranties, etc. Contact your warranty provider and state that you would like the vehicle to be repaired by TyreCom Autos. We will identify the fault and solution and liaise with their technical teams to get the work authorised.
Sometimes the full repair cost is covered by the warranty provider so you can claim back the full amount or just pay a small policy excess.
Regardless, we have the experience and expertise to smoothly guide you through the process.
